Rise and shine – it’s time to tune in to something new. Whether you’re into mainstream artists or the more obscure – 2019 has been exploding with new music. It’s a blessing and a curse. I want to listen to them all, but I don’t have the time. My Fav Albums of 2019 Wasteland, Baby – Hozier I have been sitting at the edge of my seat for this album for years, and now that it’s here – I could not be happier. I truly believe that he produces music for the soul in the most poetic way. With that being said, this album is truly amazing. It’s my favorite release of the year so far. 2019 has been a chart-topping year for music. It’s only April and new music and singles are dominating the airwaves – now we get to see who’s going to take center stage. Coachella – The Creator of FOMO Coachella is already underway in Indio, California. Celebrities, artists, and fans flock to the iconic music festival. For two weekends, April 12th– 15th and April 18th – 21st, this major music fest is making noise. This year’s headliners included Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande. Lollapalooza – The Midwest at it’s Best Lollapalooza is August 1st through the 4th, in Grant Park, Chicago. Musical headliners include Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Twenty-One Pilots, The Strokes, Tame Impala, Flume, The Chainsmokers, and J. Balvin. (Interesting how the major headliners didn’t change.) Life’s too short to not splurge on concert tickets. My mother always says I learned how to dance before I could walk. She said I used to hold on the edge of the coffee table so I could bend my knees and bounce along to the music. Since my mother is a connoisseur of the arts, two-person dance parties became a norm after that. I was even in dance for 12 years. My favorite part of every competition was when the music started. The beat was so strong it felt like a second heartbeat pulsing in my chest. I had never felt that feeling in any other way except dancing – until I went to my first concert. It was Mother’s Day 2015.
